Dan Parker — Hall of Fame 2020 - Dan graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He served in the military as a Naval Officer for three years and is a Vietnam War veteran. He spent the greatest part of his career working for the Nebraska Department of Veterans’ Affairs and retired from that agency in 2016. Dan has always been interested in sports. In high school he earned All-Conference football honors after playing Center for Papillion High School. While raising two sons, he coached various soccer, football, basketball and baseball teams. He and wife, Cathy are avid UNL Volleyball fans and attend all home games. Family is important to Dan. He and Cathy have two sons: Chad, a Utility Electrician at UNL and Todd, General Manager of Forward Sports Marketing in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. They have four grandchildren, Alec, Lauryn, Micah, and Jace.
