The 355

Better than
"Charlie's Angels,"
but not by much.

Black Adam

The comedic
elements add
nothing to an
otherwise solidly
produced, smartly cast, and
acted film.

NO
STARS
Black Panther:
Wakanda Forever

Again, this very predictable sequel
is a White-man's
version of a
Black superhero.

Blacklight

Yet another
extremely
predictable action film with color-by-number acting
of Liam Neeson.
Neeson's superior
talent is wasted.

Death on the Nile

Another solidly
produced,
beautifully shot
and directed
film by Kenneth Branagh, and with
great ensemble
acting too!

STARS
Dr. Strange in the
Multiverse of Madness

The MCU
doesn't know
what the f**k
it's doing. Film
is a convoluted
mess.

0
STARS
Abulance

Stupid script.

Adam Project

Cute, very
predictable, but
this is a "TV"
movie, and not
worthy of a
theatrical
release.

TBD
All the Old Knives

Review
coming soon.

TBD
Alone Together

Review
coming soon.

Amsterdam

Excellent cast, sets, and art direction,
but writer, director,
and co-producer
David O. Russell's
big mistakes was
to write a pseudo-murder mystery
"black comedy," because film would have been much greater as a docu-drama.

Avatar
The Way of Water

Extremely predictable.
Boring.
Lousy script
offered
nothing new.

Babylon

Story of early
"Hollywood" does
not rise to the
level of The
Carpetbaggers
,
Harlow, or The Bad
and the
Beautiful
, but
sharp editing
with Brad
Pitt's charismatic
performance and
over-the-top
acting by Margot
Robbie make
this predictable
script watchable.

0
STARS
Beast

Stupid script.
Lousy acting.
Lousy direction.
You'll cheer for the lion to kill everyone, especially the
two dumb and
very whiny
teenage girls!

Bullet Train

Inventive.
Full of plot
twists and turns.
Sharp editing,
special effects,
and great
cameos.

Day Shift

Poorly written
script about
vampires failed to
decide if film is
camp or serious. Snoop Dogg should have been cast in the lead role instead
of Foxx.

DC League of Super-Pets

Great script that's inventive, funny.
Great animation with crisp direction and editing. DC's roster
of animated films
are consistently
better than the
"live" action films.

TBD
Dead for a Dollar

Review
coming soon.

Devotion

Unfortunately,
this is a highly formulaic
bio-drama about
first Black pilot in
the U.S. Navy that, as expected, reveals
less about "the
man," but gives
greater focus to
"quietly" address
racism.

Downton Abbey

An excellent
continuation of
the television
series and the
previous film.

Elvis

An exceptionally
well-made film in
all aspects. Austin
Butler as Elvis
is fantastic!

0
STARS
Emancipation

Will Smith's
beleaguered
performance in this
monochrome
film offers
absolutely nothing
entertaining,
provocative, or
educational
about the
enslavement of
"niggers."

0
STARS
Fall

Two women
stuck 2,000 feet
up a tower but
too dumb to tie
the rope
between them
and simply
slide down.

Glass Onion
A Knives Out Mystery

Kenneth Branagh's
"Hercule Poirot" film franchise is far superior.

TBD
The Good House

Review
coming soon.

The Gray Man

Strong
performances by
the actors and
high energy action sequences drive
this film, but the convoluted script
does not help.

TBD
Halloween Ends

Review
coming soon.

Stars
Hocus Pocus 2

The original
TV show is
infinitely better.
There's absolutely
no reason for
SJW Disney to
make this "DEI" sequel.

0
STARS
Honk for Jesus

Poorly scripted, slowly paced film accurately reflects the disingenuous
and overtly
narcissistic nature
of many Black pastors.

Hustle

Script is weak,
and film's pacing
is too slow, but this is Adam Sandler's
best dramatic
role thus far.

Interceptor

The script, direction, and acting of Elsa Pataky failed to
make her believable
in the lead role as
a "kick ass"
military officer.

TBD
The Invitation

Review
coming soon.

Is That Black Enough For You?

This "history
lesson" on Black
films should
be "required"
viewing for
EVERYONE!

jackass forever

The jokes are
just dumb and
physically very
painful, BUT
funny.

Jerry & Marge Go Large

Based on a true
story about getting rich from lottery winnings, but
this is a "TV"
movie, and not
worthy of a
theatrical
release.

Jurassic World Dominion

The worst film
in the franchise.
Please, no more.

Kimi

This computer tech murder-mystery
film is VERY boring
for the first 65 minutes, and film manipulates
and procrastinates
explaining the
weirdness of Zoe Kravitz's character,
but the final 25
minutes are a blast!

Lightyear

Supposedly, the creative team
did not bring back the original voice actor for Buzz Lightyear, Tim Allen, because they believed his voice would have tied
the film too closely
to the source material, "Toy Story." Translation: Overtly liberal
Disney did
not like Allen's conservative
politics.

The Lost City

Film is essentially
a poorly scripted 2022 update of 1984's "Romaning the Stone." The
talents of Sandra
Bullock and
Channing Tatum
are wasted.

1/2
A Man Called Otto

Story trivializes
the statistical
reality of male
suicide, but as always,
Tom Hanks is
GREAT!

1/2
Marlowe

This "Marlowe"
is not Dick Powell, Humphrey Bogart,
or Robert Mitchum,
and film lacks a
critical intensity,
an edge,
but Liam Neeson
shines in this
nicely produced
film.

The Menu

The "menu" is horrific killing, not food; and the food is mediocre. For better food-as-horror, see The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover. For the absolute best in food preparation see, "Babette's
Feast
."

Moonfall

We're to believe
the moon is actually hollow inside and is
actually an artificial mechanical
megastructure designed to
protect Earth from
a malicious
artificial
intelligence.

Morbius

The MCU
doesn't know
what the f**k
it's doing. Film
would have been much better if the script stuck to the comic book origin.

0
Stars
The Munsters

The original
TV show is
infinitely better.
Film is not
interesting or
funny.

0
STARS
Nope

Stupid script,
very slow paced
sci-fi film about a
flying alien monster
doesn't deliver.
Michael Wincott
as a renowned cinematographer steals the show.

The Northman

A Viking prince
seeks gruesome revenge for
the murder of his father. "The Vikings" from 1958, and "
The Long Ships" from 1964 are much
better films.

Operation Mincemeat

Film details how
the British smartly and strategically
deceived the
Germans during
WWII.

Persuasion

The 1995 film version is much better. There's
absolutely no
need for this
remake.

Pinocchio

Excellent computer animation, but the 1940 original
film is so much better, because it
has more charm, fun, innocence, and 17 minutes shorter. Plus, the original didn't have the pretentious
DEI-isms Disney deceitfully dumps into its animation.
'Nuff said.

TBD
Prey

Review

TBD
Puss in Boots

Review

TBD
Samaritan

Review
coming soon.

The Sea Beast

The quality of animation is inconsistent, and
film fails to
evenly blend
comedic and dramatic
elements.

Spiderhead

There are many better films about human guinea pigs like "The Time Machine," from 1960, "Logan's Run," from 1976, and "The Island" from 2005.

The Batman

Terrible.
Terrible.
The "new"
Batmobile sucks.
Film is way too long and repeatedly
anticlimatic.
The worst film
in the franchise.
Please, no more.

The Man from Toronto

The problem: Kevin Hart plays his bumbling, clownish, loud mouth "self" in all of his films. Hart would benefit greatly by watching John Wayne in "The Searchers" versus John Wayne in "The Quiet Man."

Thor: Love & Thunder

The worst film
in the franchise. Disney turned Thor
into a buffoonish
sidekick to the
storyline.
Please, no more.

Ticket to Paradise

Clooney and Roberts are divorced parents who hate each other, but agree to sabotage their daughter's wedding in Bali. Yes, it's VERY predictable, but Clooney and Roberts
make the film watchable.

Top Gun: Maverick

Excellent in
every aspect.
Cruise's best
film ever!

Uncharted

Tom Holland the "actor" and Tom Holland's character, "Nate Drake," are both smarter than this ridiculous script and unrealistic special effects.

The Menu

Unlike the "Black Panther," this film is based on the true story of African women warriors,
lead by a strong-as-usual performance
by Viola Davis.

Zero Contact

Much like, "Kimi," this computer tech murder-mystery
film is VERY boring
for the first 65 minutes and with most on-screen visuals via a Zoom connection. Unfortunately,
the final 25
minutes are not a blast!

The Fabelmanas

Pretentious, episodic, and way too long. This coming of age film is ruined by too many references to Jewish culture and not enough focus on
how a child grew because of filmmaking. Cinema Paradiso is far superior to this mess from Steven Spielberg.

Films Released in 2022 starring Bruce Willis

In March 2022, Willis's family announced that he was retiring after being diagnosed with aphasia, which affects language cognition. Films featuring Willis have grossed between US$2.64 billion and $3.05 billion at North American box offices, making him in 2010 the eighth-highest-grossing actor in a leading role.

As his swan song, a large body of his work was released in 2022.

TBD
American Siege

Review
coming soon.

Corrective Measures

Based on the
graphic novel by Grant Chastain, film
is engaging performance by Willis, and an over-the-top performance by Michael Rooker
and a strong cast.

Detective Knight
Redemption (Part 2)

The script,
direction, editing, pacing, and Willis
appear lethargic;
film should have been "re-imagined"
to function as
entertainment.

Detective Knight
Rogue (Part 1)

A subdued but
engaging
performance from
Bruce Willis
complimented
by strong
performances from
an ensemble cast
compliment.

TBD
Detective Knight
Independence (Part 3)
