Stupid People Hate Tariffs! (That's right, again President Trump is right!)
BACKGROUND: In January 2025 I wrote a letter to Xie Feng, Ambassador, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in the U.S.A., requesting a “Work Residence Permit” and/or a “Personal Affairs Permit” for three-(3) to five-(5) years. Why? To greatly improve understanding and acceptance between our mutually diverse countries, AND as a followup to my November 23, 2011 correspondence to Geng Shuang, Press Counselor and Spokesman.
In 2011, as President/CEO of Community Telecast, Inc. (CTI22), Omaha's only independently operated 501 (c)(3) community access television, I wanted to broadcast original, unedited, unabridged content "showcasing the real people of China!" I wanted to broadcast content untampered and unfiltered and un-Americanized with typically skewed "interpretations and editorizing" by anyone from the U.S. federal government, or some do-gooder religious or cultural organizations. Consistent with CTI22's broadcast of original content featuring Jorge Ernesto Espejel Montes, Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores (Mexican Consulate, Omaha), Chinese people can speak for themselves, and it was consistent with CTI22's broadcast practices to eliminate the "middle person," and broadcast content from the original source.
• CTI22 was the only broadcast entity in the history of metro Omaha to regularly produce and broadcast weekly “prime time” content featuring a White woman, Latina woman, Black woman, Asian Woman, and a Native American woman.
• CTI22 was the only broadcast entity in the history of metro Omaha to regularly produce and broadcast weekly “prime time” content featuring a White man, Latino man, Black man, Asian man, and a Native American man.
• CTI22 produced and broadcast more first-run and “prime time” public service announcements than all metro Omaha television stations combined.
• CTI22 was the only television station in metro Omaha to consistently provide instant information to and from citizens of Omaha through numerous "live" talk-back programs - programs broadcast throughout metro Omaha! CTI22 broadcast more "live" over-the-air content than the combined output of all television stations in metro Omaha!
• CTI22 believed it's a good thing to inform and educate persons who ultimately wield ownership or control of every facet of American society - that all people share a commitment to success! Accordingly, CTI22 broadcast more diverse content than any broadcast entity in the history of metro Omaha!
In response to the veracity of CTI22's commitment to broadcast integrity, the PRC sent me fifteen-(15) DVDs - all written, produced, and directed entirely by citizens of China! CTI22 was the only television station to regularly broadcast this content in "prime time" (7PM to 10PM) in the United States!
BACK TO JANUARY 2025: I requested the PRC provide me with an opportunity:
1. To acquire first-hand knowledge of China’s robust culture and diverse people, and to become proficient speaking Mandarin and Cantonese.
2. To provide the People’s Republic of China with one or all of the following:
b. Subject matter expertise in all human resource disciplines, and especially the functionality of staff and organizational development in both private sector (non-government) and public sector (governmental) environments. http://www.reynos.com/bio.htm
Again, why? To greatly improve understanding and acceptance between our mutually diverse countries, and in particular, "from a Black perspective." Recently, I mentioned my January 2025 correspondence to the PRC to a "colleague" with immediate first-hand knowledge and extremely robust subject matter expertise of the PRC and East-West global relationships who responded, "Although it is not a great time to visit (due to the current relationship between US-China), your desire to do so is understood."
I responded, "Of course, I'd love to travel to China; and I've always wanted to go to China!" I also said this:
1. The relationship between the U.S. and China has absolutely nothing to do with me, because that "relationship" is between "elite" politically powerful and affluent White people (primarily White men) AND the Republic of China - NOT ME.
FACT: The trade imbalance was intentionally created by "elite" politically powerful and affluent White men who could no longer coerce poor and "working class" White people, or Black people, or Latinos to work in low-playing, labor intensive, and unsafe manufacturing and agricultural jobs. So, to escape U.S. labor laws, employee unions, trade associations, safety standards, and paying higher wages with correspondling lower profit margins they intentionally shipped these jobs to Mexico, China, India, many third-world countries, etc. Here, read this:

> From 1960 to today, American steel mills have decreased from an average of 700,000 workers to just 83,000.
> Roughly a thirty-(30) percent of all steel used in the United States is imported, the bulk of it from Mexico and Canada or close allies in Asia and Europe such as Japan, South Korea and Germany, to levels that once again threaten to impair U.S. national security. Total steel imports as a share of U.S. consumption increased significantly in 2024, reaching nearly 30 percent, similar to the import share of U.S. consumption at the time the Secretary issued his January 11, 2018, report. Imports from countries with which the United States has reached alternative agreements have increased significantly as a share of total imports, from 74 percent in 2018 to 82 percent in 2024, while imports from countries subject to quantitative restrictions remain elevated regardless of changing U.S. demand conditions and the substantial investments made to expand the capabilities of the domestic industry.
Plus, please check U.S. history, you'll easily discover a "primary reason" legendary boxer Muhammad Ali refused to fight in the Vietnam War was because Vietnamese were NOT killing Black people, Vietnamese were NOT discriminating against Black people, Vietnamese were NOT incarcerating innocent Black people, Vietnamese were NOT oppressing Black people - Vietnamese didn't do a damn thing to Black people. Vietnamese were fighting for their freedom, just like Black people, just like Native Americans.

3. It's a mistake for people outside of the United States to "think" all U.S. citizens think alike; we do NOT, and I'm not unique in this regard. China has existed for thousands of years, but the U.S. has only existed for approximately 250 years. My great-grandfather, that's right, my great-grandfather (I knew him - http://reverendreynolds.com/) who's father was a slave on the R.J. Reynolds tobacco plantation (that's right, I bear the last name of my former slave master), saw his two older brothers sold on the slave block after the Civil War ended in 1865. Here, watch this:
Tariffs have nothing to do with slavery? Really? You do realize, don't you, after the "formal" elimination of slavery in the United States of America, that "elite" politically powerful and affluent White people intentionally continued the exploitation (and colonialism) of people of color by simply exporting low-paying, menial labor jobs (i.e. "slavery") to much poorer third-world nations. Unfortunately, this exploitation is left unchecked and without controls, and has dramatically empowered the economic growth of third-world nations at the immediate expense of the U.S. economy and its citizens. Tariffs function to counter-balance the inequities created by the exploitation of contemporary colonialism and slavery.

Clearly, slavery and perpetual incarceration is NOT ancient history to me, or to millions of Black people AND especially to Native Americans with a similar life experience, as the socio-economic status for the overwhelming majority of Black people and Native Americans has NOT changed. The aforementioned in NOT my opinion, but a statistical fact; and "elite" Black people continue to support the racist paradigm created and sustained by "elite" politically powerful and affluent White people. Here, read this:
5. In summary, without regard to a person's race or sex, I was raised to love and respect all people, AND likewise, to hold people responsible to their hypocrisy, contradiction, and lies, such as: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness." Really???

As captured in the video at right, thirty-seven-(37) years ago on the April 25, 1988 telecast of the Oprah Winfreyprogram, Donald Trump conveyed his disdain for how politicians have allowed the U.S. to lose both domestic and international markets, the perpetual loss of manufacturing jobs, the trade imbalance with China, Japan, and OPEC that's made the U.S. a debtor nation. Again, Donald Trump was and remains tired of seeing the U.S. being ripped-off by other nations.
Clearly, in 1988 Donald Trump said exactly what he'd do "if" he ran for POTUS, and that's exactly what he did during his first term as POTUS, and he's continuing with his second term.
Conversely, the previous POTUS and VPOTUS supported the U.S. being a debtor nation, and perceived throughout the world as weak for being unable to protect its own border.
As a successful businessman, President Trump simply got tired of . . .
Watching the trade deficit with China constantly increase; jobs exported; and U.S. manufacturing decimated.

U.S. goods exports to China in 2022 were $154.0 billion, up 1.7 percent ($2.6 billion) from 2021 and up 39 percent from 2012.
U.S. goods imports from China totaled $536.3 billion in 2022, up 6.3 percent ($32.0 billion) from 2021, and up 26 percent from 2012.
U.S. exports to China account for 7.5 percent of overall U.S. exports in 2022.
The U.S. goods trade deficit with China was $382.3 billion in 2022, a 8.3 percent increase ($29.4 billion) over 2021.

President Bush did absolutely nothing to level the trade deficit with China.
President Obama did absolutely nothing to level the trade deficit with China.
President Trump acted decisively to begin to level the trade deficit with China.

As a seasoned, subject matter expert in all aspects of human resources (http://www.reynos.com/bio.htm), it's been my practice to guide employers on how to successfully manage all aspects of human capital. Unfortunately, it's the perpetual practice of "elite" politically powerful and affluent White people, primarily White men, to embrace narcissism and extreme wealth, while concurrently ignoring common sense and egalitarian principles. Given the perpetually high rates of unemployment for Black men, which literally "requires tax-paying White people and White employers" (because YOU have all the money) to:
(a) pay unemployment insurance for chronically unemployed people of color; or
(b) pay constantly increasing insurance rates due to the theft or vandalism of their personal property; or
(c) pay for the perpetual increase of incarcerating more and more "people of color" due to theft, rape, murder, etc.
What's wrong with bringing jobs back to the United States, which would not only help to rebuild Black communities, but to truly "Make America Greater for All People," huh?
What's wrong with that you damn racists, you damn oppressors?
"You people" are also stupid for running businesses that would not exist without the importation of products made outside of the United States of America; products perpetually made by exploiting minorities, women, and children who frequently work under lousy conditions, harsh environments, etc.
