. . . with any competitive event with clearly defined rules, regulations, and "measured outcomes," like basketball, baseball, football, bowling, and especially track and field, the competition is NOT over until certified by the established rules - period.
As usual, people who align with Bill Maher, liberals, Democrats, and those "woke" advocates miss the "point" of having the "freedom" to disagree, the "freedom" to protest, the "freedom" of dissent, the "freedom" to contest which is perfectly LEGAL in politics, sport, business, etc. Given the scope of political corruption and negligence in ALL aspects of government, citizens and elected officials have the legal right, the "freedom to contest" the accuracy and fairness of elections. So, what are the facts?
FACT 1: The popular vote does NOT determine the presidency of the United States of America.
FACT 2: The Electoral College determines the presidency of the United States of America.
FACT 3: Electoral College electors in each state don’t vote until Dec. 14, 2020. The electors’ votes typically align with the popular vote in each state. But not all states require the votes cast by electors to mirror the popular vote. Certificates recording the electoral vote results in each state must be received by the president of the Senate and the archivist no later than Dec. 23, 2020. The official results of the electoral votes are sent to the new elected Congress, which is set to meet in a joint session on Jan. 6, 2021, and announce the results. Source: Associated Press
FACT 4: The act of "asking," election officals to check the accuracy of their voting records for uncounted, misplaced, or wrongly tabulated votes is a "request," and is NOT the same as ordering, demanding, insisting, or directing someone to falsify votes.
Accordingly, the "president-elect" has NOT been elected President of the United States; not yet. Equally important, no matter how remote, if there's any possible chance of winning, even if a competitor is perceived behind or leading, or perceived to be the winner or loser, a wise competitor is NOT obligated to . . . throw in the towel or bow to public pressure from the crowd or media. For example:

You do remember, don't you, what Barack Obama said about "people in power," including his own political party? "So, I want to be honest. It's not as if it's just Republicans who've been monkeying around with elections in the past; sometime Democrats have too!"Barack Obama
A Sampling of Recent Election Fraud Cases
from Across the United States
The Heritage Foundation’s Election Fraud Database presents a sampling of recent proven instances of election fraud from across the country. Each and every one of the cases in this database represents an instance in which a public official, usually a prosecutor, thought it serious enough to act upon it. And each and every one ended in a finding that the individual had engaged in wrongdoing in connection with an election hoping to affect its outcome — or that the results of an election were sufficiently in question and had to be overturned. This database is not an exhaustive or comprehensive list. This database is intended to demonstrate the vulnerabilities in the election system and the many ways in which fraud is committed.

Eventually, the court dismissed the Paula Jones harassment lawsuit, before trial, on the grounds that Jones failed to demonstrate any damages. However, while the dismissal was on appeal, Clinton entered into an out-of-court settlement by agreeing to pay Jones $850,000. Source: Wikipedia
